Heritage denimwear company 3×1 N.Y.C., established by Scott Morrison in 2011 and rebranded with a new proposition by the Milan-based In Style Group in 2020, is aiming to build a total look entirely in denim, with key wardrobe builders — think cargo pants and bomber jackets, overalls and pencil skirts.
The move is in sync with what other niche denim players are doing globally, embracing a fashion-leaning approach to overcome the perception that denim is just a wardrobe staple with little fashion cred.
For the spring 2024 collection, relying on its longstanding partner Candiani Denim, 3×1 N.Y.C. worked super lightweight denim, which thanks to its versatility, was plied into wide-leg denim bottoms paired with biker-inflected vests with removable shoulder pads; a round-shaped bomber jacket in indigo blue and a cropped blazer with oversize lapels.

Experimenting with treatments, the brand introduced black and shimmering silver coatings for high-slit pencil skirts and jeans, adding a festive touch to what it dubs as the Holiday Collection, currently in-store.
The denim brand is swiftly building its wholesale network and is currently stocked at Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Shopbop and Revolve in the U.S.; at Paris’ Le Bon Marché; at Bloomingdale’s in Dubai, as well as at Mytheresa and Rinascente, among others.
